Theatre on the Road offers entertaining and educational programs for schools, libraries, historic sites or community centers. Original works are produced and performed for the purpose of enriching and inspiring both students and the general public. Programs include the following:
• A series titled "Live Literature" which will allow students to meet and interact with major literary figures like Edgar Allan Poe and Charles Dickens and the characters they created.
• A site-specific series titled, “A Haunting: voices from the past” presents ghosts and historical figures that have been known to haunt the establishment.
• “A Taste of Shakespeare” includes bite sized portions of four Shakespearean plays presented by William Shakespeare himself.
Our audiences include students of all ages and the general public. By bringing theatre directly to you we offer an experience that will require less effort than traveling to a “brick and mortar” theatre. Since our productions have interactive elements our audiences have the benefit of speaking to, and learning from, our characters. Although entertaining, our programs have historic significance and educational value designed to intrigue and enrich the participants. In this digital age our aim is give students and the general public a “live” experience that elevates their understanding of literature, American entertainment history and local legends and lore.
