Poe's Last Mystery

A critcally acclaimed original play available to schools and colleges, theaters and libraries. Fundraising opportunities available.

It's 1849 and Edgar Allan Poe, desperate and destitute, has agreed to read from his poems and tales of mystery. As he recites from Annabel Lee, The Raven, The Cask of Amontillado and The Fall of the House of Usher, characters from these works make surprise appearances. Poe is tested as each ghostly visitor seeks revenge on him for the way in which they died. Both entertaining and educational, the drama that unfolds during Poe's Last Mystery will alter events on what will prove to be the eve of his death.

This is an interactive show in that Edgar Allan Poe speaks directly to the audience. As he reads, characters from his tales of mystery come to life - or do they? Are they figments of Poe's delusional mind seeking revenge or are they real?
