Murder at the Speakeasy

Infamous bootlegger Dutch Schultz has opened a new speakeasy, the Abba Dabba Club, to give girlfriend Lu Lu a place to sing but flapper Rosie isn’t having it. You’ll dance, dine and gulp the best hooch anywhere until tempers flair, bullets rain and the law shows up. One body will fall and it doesn’t look like the Charleston did it.

Murder by Chocolate

Dan Crunkle, owner of Dan-Dee-Can-Dee, is merging with Hershel Crackleberry his biggest competitor. Dan’s dinner guests include his soft son Junior, nutty ex-wife Sister Hazel, creamy girlfriend Lola, crunchy attorney Marsha Mallow and brittle chocolatier Rollo Goodbahr. Before your salad is served someone will poison Dan’s sweet deal and you’re either a suspect or a witness to murder!

Now in it's fourth year, this show is a sweet and sour favorite that never seems to die.

Murder at the Mansion: A Hudson River Mystery

The year is 1890 and the illustrious Vanderbilt family dominates Hudson Valley  high society. But when murder darkens a glittering affair at their summer home, you, as a guest, will learn the actions of the cream of society can curdle one’s blood. Your evening begins when Frederick and Lady Vanderbilt host a summer garden party; you’ll mingle with their upper crust neighbors John Jacob Astor IV, and his unlikeable wife Lady Ava Astor  and her friend, Vassar professor, Percy Longfellow. Everyone will be fussed over by loyal butler Horace and Charlene, a maid with an eye on the jewels of the rich and famous.  Katherine Kerry is on the guest list even though she’s there to report on the party for the society page of the Catskill Observer. But she observes much more than glitz and gaiety when she witnesses a murder.


Now in it's 3rd year, Murder at the Mansion is also available for fundraising events and is venue specifc. We customize!

Twisted Cabaret

Music, Comedy and a Touch of Mayhem!

Twisted Cabaret showcases the very best in live music and comedy – a campy fusion of classic American songs with cutting edge and old-school comedy and audience interaction. This roller coaster ride of a variety show features vocal magic by Lydia, wickedly funny business by Casey, keyboard wizardry by Jeremiah and knockout punches by emcee, Frank. This hot summer show begins and ends with a bang. Don’t miss it!

Murder at the Mic

You’re invited to enter the glamorous and cutthroat world of karaoke competition. Someone is killing the contestants at your annual Karaoke Clash. Jock Monte Bloch will invite audience members to sing from a pre-selected playlist. The contestants competing for the trophy include punk rocker Jools, hard rocker Judd, Broadway diva Berdie Zimmerman, lounge legend Jerry Saks and America’s sweetheart April-May.

Now in it's 6th year, Murder at the Mic has is available for company parties and fundraising events.

A Beauty Pageant to Die For

The Miss Ghastly Ghoul Pageant is showing signs of mold. Barnabas, the bloodsucking host, and witchy producer Hilda need to open the competition to audience members. Talent-challenged Misty and decaying diva Carrie are not happy. Chucky, the only judge, needs help from Cruella. Everyone will be fussed over by Freddie K, legendary pageant stylist. Someone will be crowned Queen of the Crypt – and someone will die trying.

It's more than a Halloween show, this beauty is avaialble  for public venues and private shows.

The Art of Murder

The show is ideal for a fundraising event that includes a silent auciton.

You're hosting a fundraising event; it includes cocktails, live music, appetizers, and a silent auction. The items for bid include paintings by bickering artists Penelope Penway and Dante Rousseau. Libby Castor the fund chair, will explain the bidding rules, state senator Chip Ballantine presses for votes and news reporter Marcy Waters looks for a big scoop. Security guard Chuck Goodman has an easy time keeping everyone honest, but not for long. Before the winning bids are announced at least one body will fall.

War of the Worlds, The Live Radio Broadcast

The Murder Cafe players recreate the 1938 radio broadcast that created a nationwide panic. Originally aired by Orson Wells and his Mercury Players on the Air. We are pleased to have secured the rights to an updated script by Joe Landry and it will be presented in period costume, with music and sound effects, very much the way it was in pre-World War II America.

Dead Tuesday

A Mardi Gras Murder Mystery by Scott Cherney

International playboy Francois Fibian is the only one who can solve the murder of a prominent New Orleans socialite during a Mardi Gras costume ball, but he has his own problems. Someone at this soiree is trying to frame him for the crime. To make matters worse, a voodoo curse is turning him into a frog.

Who can it be? His jealous first officer, Mr. Spark? The producer's widow who may have fathered his child? The actress from the rival franchise STAR BOARS? And that alien-is it or isn't it?

A Christmas Carol


Now in its 16th year, this family show is a tribute to the spirit of a traditional holiday. It allows your guests to experience the joy of Christmas as they are invited to feast with the Cratchit family including Bob, Mrs. Cratchit, Belinda and everyone‘s favorite - Tiny Tim. In scenes right of out Dickens’ classic book, you’ll be treated to visits from Ebenezer Scrooge, his Nephew Fred, the Man of Goodwill, the ghost of Jacob Marley and the three spirits of Christmas. In addition, holiday carolers will entertain at your table between scenes!

In 2016 our dinner theater version of A Christmas Carol celebrates it's 16th year!

Poe Live!

Edgar Allan Poe, desperate and destitute, has agreed to read from his poems and tales of mystery at your event. During the evening characters from his stories will make surprise appearances and Poe's sanity is tested as each visitor seeks revenge on him. Both entertaining and enlightening, this will prove to be the eve of Poe's mysterious death. This educational theatre experience is available to school groups, libraries and fundraising events.
